How do I write a Discord event announcement?

Add a title and message, then select message text to apply formatting. Optional start and end times become Discord timestamp tags. Copy the source into a Discord draft and review it before sending; this tool does not connect to your account or post messages.

How do readers in different timezones see the right time?

Enter the local event time and its UTC offset on that date, such as +08:00 for Beijing. The tool converts it to Unix seconds; Discord displays that instant in each reader’s timezone and language. Offsets are fixed and do not handle daylight saving automatically. Convert accurate instants separately for events that cross a daylight-saving change.

Why provide both Discord source and plain text?

Discord source retains formatting syntax and dynamic timestamp tags. Plain text removes supported basic formatting, reveals spoilers and replaces timestamps with fixed dates including the UTC offset for use elsewhere. The browser preview is approximate; review complex nesting and unsupported Markdown in the destination app.
