Fancy Text to Normal Text Converter

Convert known Unicode bold, script, circled, squared and fullwidth text to plain text. Review changes while preserving unknown characters, emoji and accents.

Runs on your device; content is never uploaded. Up to 20,000 UTF-16 units. Converts known glyphs; unknown characters, original line endings and accents are preserved.

Specification: Unicode Normalization Forms

Which fancy fonts can be converted?

The default rules cover this siteโ€™s mathematical bold, italic, script, Fraktur, double-struck, sans-serif and monospace alphabets, plus circled, squared, parenthesized and ASCII fullwidth glyphs. Small caps, superscripts and subscripts are optional. Real Chinese, Greek, Cyrillic, currency symbols, upside-down text and custom frames are not guessed.

Can it recover the exact original?

Only known mappings can be reversed, and some glyphs have already lost their original case. Mathematical alphabets can also carry meaning in formulas. Unknown characters stay intact. Four known line overlays can be removed separately; other combining marks are not stripped, preserving ordinary accents and compound emoji.

When should you use NFKC?

Unicode NFKC folds additional compatibility characters such as Roman numerals, units and ligatures, but can erase meaningful distinctions. It is off by default. When enabled, its whole-text conversion is shown separately in the change details. Processing is local and your original remains unchanged; review the result before copying.
